About Us

Valliammai Engineering college was established on September 9, 1999. It is situated in an extent of 27.5 acres and is by the side of NH 45, between Tambaram and Chengalpattu. The serene atmosphere with the surrounding greenery is conductive to the pursuit of higher studies.

The college functions from a multi – storey building complex of 29,000 square metres to accommodate the demands of ever increasing number of students.

The Valliammai Engineering College is a part of the SRM Group of Educational Institutions, sponsored by the Valliammai Society. The Valliammai Society was founded by Thiru.T.R.Pachamuthu , a well-known educationist, in the name of his mother Tmt. R.Valliammai, under whose care and guidance he attained greater heights in his personal development and whose ideals continue to inspire him.

Our well experienced and dedicated staff fraternity is encouraging the students in all their academic and co-curricular activities. At present we have around 173 teaching staff on role, other than this 150 non-teaching and administrative staff participating in our endeavor.

We are constantly supporting our staff by sponsoring and encouraging them to do higher studies and also to present papers and participate in conferences / workshops / symposiums to enrich their knowledge.
